Energy Analysis Software Company Expands to Serve Energy Utilities
ATLANTA, Aug. 31, 2009 -Apogee Interactive announced a key staff addition today as it continues its expansion to meet the energy software needs of electric and gas utilities across the country. Apogee has named Scott Phillips Director of Information Technology for the Atlanta-based company which develops Web-based energy efficiency tools and self-service programs hosted on hundreds of utility websites and used by millions of utility consumers.
As IT director, Phillips will be responsible for providing departmental leadership to Apogee's customer-focused IT environment and overseeing application development, technical infrastructure and support services. He will also serve on the company's new product development team.
Phillips comes to Apogee with more than 20 years in the technology industry, including a 10-year tenure as technical manager at MCI/Verizon and IT consulting assignments for the Tennessee Valley Authority, Mississippi Economic Development Department and other large organizations. Phillips most recently served as IT director for AutoGov Inc., a consulting firm providing data mining, predictive analysis, and business intelligence solutions to public and private sector companies.

Phillips holds a bachelor's degree in computer information science from Coleman College in California and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Alabama. He resides in Atlanta.
